Leadership

John Ulrich

John is the lead pastor of The Church at Perry Creek. He comes to us from Wichita, KS by way of Dallas, TX and Harare, Zimbabwe.

His 32 years of ministry include everything from teaching 6th grade boys Sunday School to being the Academic Dean of a theological college; youth ministry to the senior pastorate.

But perhaps his most interesting job was when he worked at K-Mart, because that’s where he met his wife Kelley. They have been happily married for 27 years.

John enjoys fishing, hunting, walking his dog Zowe, and listening to classic rock. And he is the proud father of two UNC Tarheels: Elisabeth, age 22 and Calvin, age 20.

John’s heartbeat is to teach people at all levels how to understand Scripture for themselves, whether they are new believers, committed Christians, or seminary students. His mission is to help people live according to truth and to see people glorify God because they know Him.

John is blessed to serve at The Church at Perry Creek, and is excited about being a part of the work God is doing through this church to reach our community and nations with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
