The Knowability of God

Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my going out and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and You have laid your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.

- Psalm 139:1-6

How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
- Psalm 139:17-18

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?”  For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

- Romans 11:33-36
