Going Confidently
The Great Commission is a task that was given to all belivers. The call to "go and make disciples of all nations..." is something that each person who follows Jesus is supposed to do. But it is a big, scary, and sometimes even dangerous job. So how do we overcome our hesitation and find the confidence we need to obey Jesus' command? In this passage from Matthew 28, we will understand the actual nature of our task, and learn three reasons that we can overcome our doubts and go confidently wherever God calls us to go.
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
